System Integration Lead

RINA is seeking a freelance/independent System Integration Lead to support systems engineering and integration across multidisciplinary railway projects, ensuring technical coherence between infrastructure, rolling stock, signalling, telecommunications, electrical and power, and operational systems.

 

The assignment is expected to run for a period of up to 24 months and will be delivered through a blended working model, comprising approximately 50% attendance in Ireland and 50% remote working, according to programme requirements.

 

The role develops and implements integration strategies, manages interfaces and risks, supports requirements verification, coordinates cross-discipline reviews and reporting, and helps resolve technical issues to support safe, coherent and operationally ready whole-system delivery.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, with at least 10 years’ rail systems engineering or systems integration experience.
  • Demonstrable experience integrating multiple disciplines on complex railway projects and developing or implementing integration strategies and management plans.
  • Strong understanding of railway interfaces, requirements verification, technical coordination, integration risk and whole-system delivery.
  • Experience across infrastructure, rolling stock, signalling, telecommunications, electrical and power, operations, safety assurance and commissioning teams.
  • Experience in client, operator, infrastructure manager, consultancy, systems assurance or Owner’s Engineer environments, with strong leadership and stakeholder skills. #LI-FC1
