RINA is seeking a freelance/independent Construction / Staging Engineer to develop construction staging strategies, possession planning approaches, phasing methodologies and constructability advice for railway works in operational environments while minimising disruption.

 

The assignment is expected to run for a period of up to 24 months and will be delivered through a blended working model, comprising approximately 50% attendance in Ireland and 50% remote working, according to programme requirements.

 

The role supports constructability assessments, construction phasing, possession strategies, temporary works coordination, operational impact assessments and risk reviews, ensuring that proposed methods are practical, coordinated, safe and aligned with access, programme and operational requirements.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in railway construction, staging, phasing, possessions or related delivery activities.
  • Experience developing possession plans, construction staging strategies, phasing plans, methodologies and constructability assessments in operational railway environments.
  • Strong understanding of temporary works coordination, operational impacts, risk assessments, access planning, safety requirements and customer impact mitigation.
  • Ability to develop safe, practical and coordinated staging solutions and prepare reports, methodologies, risk assessments and technical advice.
  • Experience coordinating with operations, maintenance, infrastructure, signalling, electrical, telecommunications, civil and contractor teams, with strong communication and leadership skills. #LI-FC1
