Marine Superintendent - South Korea (Expat)

Role Overview

The Marine Superintendent will oversee marine, hull, and marine systems activities during yard construction and commissioning phases, ensuring safe execution and compliance with project and class requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise marine-related construction and commissioning activities (hull, marine systems, outfitting, sea fastening support).
• Coordinate marine readiness for commissioning, load‑out, and sail‑away preparation.
• Interface with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and client marine teams.
• Ensure compliance with class, statutory, and client marine requirements.
• Review marine procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Support punch list clearance and system handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• 10–15 years experience in FPSO / offshore / shipyard projects.
• Strong yard experience (large EPC yards; SHI experience is an advantage).
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Marine systems & operations
  • Class requirements (ABS, DNV, LR or equivalent)
• Proven experience in commissioning and pre‑sail‑away readiness.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills in multicultural environments.
