RINA is currently recruiting for a Transport Project Manager to join its office in Genova or Torino, Italy within the International Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Mission

As a Transport Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the coordination and execution of technical activities for national and international transport projects and in the coordinaton of designers for the delivery of new transport system worldwide

Key Accountabilities

1. Transport Infrastructure Project Design Management:
 - Coordinate the design activities for national and international transport projects.
 - Ensure the timely and budgeted delivery of transport projects, maintaining high-quality standards.
2. Master Planning and Feasibility Design:
 - Support the delivery of transport projects with a specific focus on master planning feasibility/preliminary design (PFTE for Italy) by analysing and comparing different transport solutions to achieve given transport demand considering geographical, technical and budgetary constraints.
 - Contribute to the development of innovative and effective transportation solutions.
3. Technical Execution Supervision of:
 -  Technical tasks on transport projects for private clients, public administrations.
 -  Transport demand analysis.
 -  Traffic impact assessment analysis.
 -  Goods and passenger flow analysis and optimisation. 
5. Report Preparation:
 - Prepare comprehensive technical reports in both English and Italian languages.
 - Ensure that reports meet the required quality standards and provide valuable insights.
6. Simulation and Modeling:
 - Supervise transport micro and macro simulations using Transcad, PTV Vissim, and similar software.
 - Analyse simulation results to inform decision-making and project improvements.
7. Reporting and communication:
 - Collaborate with engineering specialists and civil works designers in the development of presentations, GANTT and progress reports
 - Provide valuable input and advice for successfully executing transport engineering projects.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in transport project management and feasibility/preliminary design for transport projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct desk research on emerging transport and mobility solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Italian.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

Master’s Degree in Transport Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Other in Mechanical Engineering
