RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Site AI Avionics System Engineer to join its office in Turin or Venegono within the Operating Engine Division.
Mission
The Junior Site AI Avionics System Engineer mission is to provide essential support to licensed engineers in various engineering projects under direct customer control. They assist in the preparation of design calculations, drafting, technical specifications, reports, and other necessary tasks. Additionally, they utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software, perform fieldwork, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. #LI-FS1
Key Accountabilities
Software Development:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure software applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to software development best practices.
- Interface the product/project managers to receive technical requirements to be implemented
Testing and Deployment:
- Write automated tests to ensure the quality of applications and enhance test coverage.
- Debug the implemented application software
- Support the V&V team during testing and validation activities for defect analysis
- Analyze and solve detected problems implementing the needed corrections.
Documentation:
- Document APIs, and implementation details.
- Maintain technical documentation and diagrams related to the software applications.
Support and Maintenance:
- Technical support to customers and internal teams as needed.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software applications.
Education
Qualifications
- Proficiency in design and develop of Machine Learning and Deep Learning alghoritms.
- Knowledge of Python and relative modules (Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib)
- Knowledge of Pytorch, Tensorflow/Keras frameworks.
- Knowledge of C++ programming language.
- Knowledge of CNN, RNN and Trasformer architectures
- Experience in Data pre-processing, feature engineering and dataset management.
- Ability to tune and optimaze models (hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation)
- Competency in Computer Vision.
- Experience with pipline training, validation and deployment on Cloud Enviroments and HPC.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Italian and English

Compensation Data
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30,000 and €35,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
