RINA is currently recruiting for a Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata & Sicily Certification Senior Industrial Services Inspector to join its office in Taranto, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.

Mission

The role is focuses on ensuring the safety and quality of industrial services (e.g. electrics mandatory certification, lifting equipment mandatory certification, elevator and plant certification, welding, pressure equipment,personnnel certification and CE marking) helping businesses meet regulatory standards and deliver reliable, safe services to their customers. #LI-DC2

Key Accountabilities

Conduct Inspections: 
Perform on-site inspections, examinations and audits to assess compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. 
Documentation: 
Prepare detailed inspection, examination and audit reports, documenting findings and providing clear recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.
Material and Procedure Review: 
Review materials, manufacturing/process procedures and testing methods (e.g. NDT) to ensure they meet certification requirements.
Quality Assurance: 
Monitor the quality control processes during the activities, ensuring adherence to quality control plans.
Code Compliance: 
Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and regulations to ensure that all inspections are conducted in accordance with the latest requirements.
Qualification: 
Assess the qualifications and certifications of services and operators, ensuring they meet the appropriate standards.
Safety: 
Promote and enforce safety measures, ensuring that the operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
Evaluate the reliability of equipment and plant inspected with tests and measures to ensure a compliance safety.
Client Interaction: 
Communicate with clients, answer their questions competently, and providing information about the certification scheme.
Continuous Improvement: 
dentify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of inspection procedures.
Training:
Stay current with the latest inspection techniques and technologies, and provide training to colleagues and clients as needed

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in industrial service inspection, with a proven track record in areas such as electrical systems, lifting equipment, welding, pressure equipment, personnel certification, and CE marking.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards, industry codes, and mandatory certification requirements for various industrial services and equipment.
- Strong background in quality assurance and safety regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance with both national and international standards.
- Advanced skills in technical documentation review and the ability to create clear, accurate reports outlining inspection results and compliance status.
- Expertise in using a range of inspection tools, test equipment, and advanced techniques for complex assignments.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior inspectors, ensuring consistent adherence to standards and best practices.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills, with the ability to explain complex inspection findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex inspection projects, including managing timelines, resources, and coordinating with various teams.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to make high-level decisions and provide expert recommendations on safety and compliance improvements.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IWCF, LEEA, CE marking expert) and professional memberships in industry organizations are highly desirable.
