RINA is currently recruiting for a Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata & Sicily Certification Auditor to join its office in Taranto, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.​

Mission

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and credibility of energy sustainability solutions, supporting clients and stakeholders in the transition toward low-carbon models. They will be responsible for providing technical support for audit and verification activities related to management systems (ISO 9001/14001/45001), decarbonization, the sustainability of renewable fuels, and the compliance of bioliquids and biofuels with the main applicable regulatory requirements and voluntary schemes, with particular reference to RED II and the related sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions saving criteria. The role involves assessment, audit, document review and client support activities on topics such as sustainability criteria, traceability, mass balance, GHG emissions and chain of custody requirements, including within voluntary schemes recognized by the European Commission such as ISCC EU and 2BSvs.  #LI-DC2

Key Accountabilities

Support audit, verification and technical assessment activities related to management systems (ISO 9001/14001/45001) and decarbonization pathways and the sustainability of biofuels, RFNBO and RCF.

Analyze technical documentation and data supporting compliance with sustainability criteria and applicable regulatory requirements, with particular attention to RED II/III and the relevant recognized voluntary schemes, such as ISCC EU and 2BSvs.

Verify aspects related to traceability, mass balance, chain of custody and greenhouse gas emission calculations, including the application of GHG methodologies, standard values and actual values under the RED II/III framework.

Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, audit findings and supporting documentation for decision-making processes.

Interact with clients and internal stakeholders on technical clarifications, evidence management and activity follow-up.

Monitor the evolution of the regulatory framework, applicable requirements and reference schemes.

Contribute to the continuous development of internal expertise in renewable fuels, emissions reduction and certification requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Business Administration Finance Management

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in technical, auditing, certification, consulting or compliance roles related to management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESG, BIOC, ISCC-EU, SUSTAINABILITY, etc.) decarbonization, bioliquids or biofuels.

Knowledge of the main regulatory and voluntary references applicable to sustainable fuels, including RED II/III, sustainability criteria, traceability, mass balance and the main recognized voluntary schemes, such as ISCC EU and 2BSvs.

Experience in GHG emissions assessment, in the calculation methodologies under the RED II framework, and in managing the related documentary and audit requirements.

Good technical analysis skills, report writing ability and experience managing complex documentary evidence.

Ability to work with clients, multidisciplinary teams and evolving regulatory environments.

Excellent Italian and good written and spoken English.

Availability to travel, where required.

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480). The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €35,000 and €45,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
