We are currently recruiting an experienced Site Manager in Tangier 

 

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS

 

- Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (English, French) 
including technical dictionary will be a plus.
- Good knowledge in the use of PC including software and applications (e.g. Windows, Office)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 
- Knowledge of the International Quality Standards and applicable design and construction norms and 
standards.
Knowledge and experience of the major standards applied to Oil &Gas projects (e.g. EEMUA, API, ISO 
EN, ASME, AWS, Customer Standards, etc.);
- Ability to work in adverse setting and climatic conditions.
- Ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fixing them.
- Ability to communicate fluently with the Customers and should possess good Customer service skills.
- Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and should be a critical thinker.
- Good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks depending upon the emergency situations.

 

The Site Manager is responsible for:


- Directing, coordinating and controlling all the site activities related to the project, according to corporate 
standards and contractual conditions as far as Quality and HSE are concerned and to ensure that 
scheduled targets relevant to delivery terms and costs are met.
- Stating the erection methods and sequences collaborating with the Construction Managers, Mechanical 
Completion Coordinator, the Project Engineer Manager, the Site HSE Manager and the Yard Manager, 
taking part to the choice of the equipment most suitable for carrying out construction activities according 
to HSE, contractual and corporate rules.
- Monitoring progress, overseeing delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any 
problems which could hold up work as they arise. Keeping in close contact with members of their site 
team at all times, and liaising with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners. Ensuring that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.
- Overseeing all site daily activities and operations.
- Supervising the overall schedule, quality control and coordinating with all subcontractor and consultants.
- Mentoring the team by providing guidance and coaching.
- Setting the direction in planning and coordination as well as liaising with Contractors and Subcontractors.
- Taking proactive measures to prevent cost overruns.
- Developing and maintaining site project procedures.
- Keeping the Customer updated regularly on progress.
- Ensuring that, before the beginning of each activities, the risk analysis has been carried out from the 
appointed Site HSE Manager.
- Verifying that workers employed by both the Contractors and Subcontractors are informed and formed in 
order to carry out the jobs in a safety way.
- Ensuring that HSE rules and procedures are implemented during project construction activities, verifying, 
through coordination and control, the application of instructions included in HSE Plan, in the work 
procedures and companies security plan.
- Attending site progress meetings.
