Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Installation Engineer to follow up and support SURF contractor installation engineering activities, based primarily in the company office with periodic travel to contractor offices and offshore installation campaigns in Indonesia.

The role focuses on ensuring the technical integrity, safety, and compliance of subsea installation activities for flexible flowlines, risers, umbilicals, and subsea structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure overall technical integrity of subsea installation engineering for SURF systems
• Review and approve installation engineering documents issued by installation contractors
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company procedures (HSEQ), and international standards
• Interface with installation contractors during offshore installation operations
• Participate in:
  • Vessel mobilization activities
  • Offshore installation campaigns (Indonesia)
  • EFAT and SIT campaigns (if required)
• Follow up on subsea installation and pre‑commissioning activities
• Review and accept contractor weekly and monthly progress reports
• Coordinate and support technical interface meetings with other engineering packages
• Promote and enforce compliance with HSE rules, company policies, and Integrated Management Systems

Requirements

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Offshore / Subsea or equivalent)
• Minimum 10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Minimum 10 years offshore experience in:
  • Offshore supervision, or
  • Offshore field / installation engineering (conventional & deepwater)
• Strong specialist knowledge in:
  • SURF systems
  • Subsea lifting and installation engineering
  • Orcaflex
• Good understanding of:
  • Offshore installation supervision
  • Integration testing and pre‑commissioning
  • International engineering standards
  • Basic welding knowledge
• Experience in documentation management, data books, and project close‑out activities

Certifications & Language

• Offshore survival training (mandatory)
• English – working proficiency
