RINA is currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our teams in Sydney (Manly) or Melbourne (City), or to assist in establishing new teams in Brisbane or Perth.

 

As a global engineering firm, RINA specializes in providing consulting engineering services for the renewable energy sector. We offer a comprehensive range of services to investors, lenders, developers, and asset owners, covering wind energy (on-shore and off-shore), photovoltaic solar, and energy storage technologies.

 

The Senior Consultant role will focus on delivering services within the renewable energy sector, serving as either an Owner's Engineer or Independent Engineer. Responsibilities may include conducting feasibility studies, project design, project development services, technical due diligence, construction monitoring, acceptance testing, performance and operational services, as well as participation in winning and delivering new projects worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The Senior Consultant role will focus on:

  • Delivering services within the renewable energy sector,
  • Serving primarily in the role of Project Management and Independent Engineer services undertaking technical due diligence, independent certification, and construction monitoring,
  • Serving as an Owner’s Engineer conducting feasibility studies, project design and development services, acceptance testing, performance and operational services, and
  • Participation in winning and delivering projects worldwide,
  • Responsible for the production and the performance of assigned projects, under the coordination of the Principal Consultant,
  • Ensure the creation of documents and reports that detail their assessments, any fact-finding survey data acquired, the project’s inception, and concept planning,
  • Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule,
  • Support the continued development of more junior team personnel providing technical guidance,

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications and Skills

 

The successful candidate to demonstrate their technical competencies, experience, and leadership abilities including the following:

 

  • Relevant degree(s) in Engineering.
  • Professional engineering qualifications (or working towards registered engineer, chartered status).
  • Relevant industry and project management certifications (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Leadership and work experience in delivering engineering services with an OEM, developer, operator, or consulting firm.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and manage the project team across a range of renewable energy projects including solar PV, wind, BESS, and associated infrastructure.
  • Deliver successful consulting assignments in accordance with the client’s scope and schedule.
