RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Consulting Asia Risk Assessment Manager to join its office in Shanghai, China within the Marine Consulting Division.

Key Accountabilities

Project:
1.    Oversees technical aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business activities of the OU
2.    Responsible for the assigned geographic area’s technical monitoring of resources to include technical report reviews and implementation of actions to improve the quality of technical services being provided.
3.    Support the Local and Global team in the execution of technical reviews of enquiries or contracts, before submission of an offer, tender or quotation.
4.    Promote a technical culture and awareness throughout the organization
5.    Assist field personnel in the execution of their assigned responsibilities
6.    Ensure that all data entry into RINA systems is performed in accordance with the agreed systems and procedures
7.    Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System
8.    Comply with HSE Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
9.    Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS
10.   Be aware of the quality of his own work and its impact on service delivery and contribute to the QMS improvement according to his/her role.
11.   Support and participate in the organization's environmental and safety program to conform to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements


Customer:
1.    Ensure services are supplied to requirements
2.    Review all field reports prior to submittal to the client
3.    Arrange and attend to meetings (both kick-off and periodical) with customers
4.    Collect customers’ satisfaction and letter of reference at the end of the project
5.    Support the OU Manager to ensure that all complaints are addressed in compliance with the complaints process documented in Customer Feedback and Complaints.
6.    Represent RINA as required at client’s meetings, conferences, etc


Business Development:
1.    Support technical development, innovation and delivery of strategic company initiatives in unison with OU Manager(s).
2.    Provide technical input into the development of Procedures and Instructions specifically related to the field activities

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor/Masters in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering or equivalent, relevant to the job description
2.    Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the maritime industry with a strong background in Risk Assessment and conducting HAZID/HAZOP workshops on site. (essential)
3.    Classification society, shipyard, or marine/ship design/construction service provider or consultancy (essential)
4.    Marine rules and regulations; IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class (essential)
5.    Gap Analysis (desired)
6.    New building/retrofit/repair experience, project management, ship design, AutoCad, CFD calculation (desired)
7.    IMO 2050 decarbonization targets, Bio-Fuels, Ammonia, Methanol, Hydrogen, LNG (desired)
8.    Energy Storage Systems (Batteries) and Hybrid Drive Solutions (desired)
