RINA is currently recruiting for a Asia Marine Consulting Assessment Manager to join its office in Shanghai, China within the Asia Marine Consulting Division.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities
Project:
- Oversees technical aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business activities of the OU.
- Responsible for the assigned geographic area’s technical monitoring of resources to include technical report reviews and implementation of actions to improve the quality of technical services being provided.
- Support the Local and Global team in the execution of technical reviews of enquiries or contracts, before submission of an offer, tender or quotation.
- Promote a technical culture and awareness throughout the organization
- Assist field personnel in the execution of their assigned responsibilities
- Ensure that all data entry into RINA systems is performed in accordance with the agreed systems and procedures
- Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System
- Comply with HSE Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
- Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS
- Be aware of the quality of his own work and its impact on service delivery and contribute to the QMS improvement according to his/her role.
- Support and participate in the organization's environmental and safety program to conform to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
Customer:
- Ensure services are supplied to requirements
- Review all field reports prior to submittal to the client
- Arrange and attend to meetings (both kick-off and periodical) with customers
- Collect customers’ satisfaction and letter of reference at the end of the project
- Support the OU Manager to ensure that all complaints are addressed in compliance with the complaints process documented in Customer Feedback and Complaints.
- Represent RINA as required at client’s meetings, conferences, etc
Business Development:
- Support technical development, innovation and delivery of strategic company initiatives in unison with OU Manager(s).
- Provide technical input into the development of Procedures and Instructions specifically related to the field activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the maritime industry with a strong background in Risk Assessment and conducting HAZID/HAZOP workshops on site. (essential)
- Classification society, shipyard, or marine/ship design/construction service provider or consultancy (essential)
- Marine rules and regulations; IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class (essential)
- Gap Analysis (desired)
- New building/retrofit/repair experience, project management, ship design, AutoCad, CFD calculation (desired)
- IMO 2050 decarbonization targets, Bio-Fuels, Ammonia, Methanol, Hydrogen, LNG (desired)
- Energy Storage Systems (Batteries) and Hybrid Drive Solutions (desired)
