RINA is currently recruiting for a I&M System Engineer to join its office in Seul, Korea within the International Infrastructure & Mobility Division.
Mission

Our Seoul Branch is dedicated to delivering innovative and high-quality services for metro and light rail transit (LRT) projects in Korea. We are looking for a seasoned Railway System Engineering Expert to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of complex railway projects.
Key Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities

System Engineering Management
- Define system engineering strategies and methodologies for metro/LRT projects.
- Oversee system integration, ensuring seamless interaction between subsystems (e.g., signaling, rolling stock, power supply, communications).

Requirements Engineering
- Manage requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and verification processes.
- Develop and maintain traceability matrices to ensure compliance with client requirements.

Interface Management
- Coordinate technical interfaces between stakeholders, contractors, and subsystem providers.
- Ensure effective communication and resolution of interface issues during the project lifecycle.

Technical Documentation and Reviews
- Prepare and review technical documents, including system specifications, design reports, and test plans.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure documentation meets industry standards and project requirements.

Risk Management
- Identify and manage technical risks associated with system engineering activities.
- Propose mitigation measures and ensure their implementation to reduce risks.

Testing and Commissioning Support
- Provide expertise during the testing and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Validate system performance and ensure successful project delivery.
Education
Qualifications

Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in railway system engineering, with a focus on metro and LRT projects.
- Proven expertise in system integration, requirements management, and interface management.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of metro/LRT systems and subsystems (e.g., CBTC, SCADA, traction systems).
- Proficiency in using system engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Enterprise Architect).
- Familiarity with international standards and best practices (e.g., EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.

Language:
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Korean (preferred but not mandatory).
