RINA is currently recruiting for a Latin America Food & Sustainability Certification Lead Auditor to join its office in São Paulo within the International Certification Division.

Mission

Act as a Senior Auditor in sustainability certification programs, conducting certification, surveillance, andrecertification audits, with a focus on internationally recognized schemes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct certification, surveillance, and recertification audits in sustainability schemes, including:
    • ISCC (EU / PLUS / CORSIA)

    • FSC (Chain of Custody)

    • RenovaBio

    • Other applicable sustainability and traceability schemes

  • Plan, execute, and report audits in accordance with normative requirements, accreditation rules, and internal procedures.

  • Assess traceability systems, mass balance, chain of custody, socio-environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare clear, consistent technical reports in compliance with applicable schemes and standards.

  • Interact technically with clients, internal teams, stakeholders, and, when necessary, accreditation bodies.

  • Provide technical support for new product development, commercial processes, and internal training when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Forestry, Agronomic, Chemical, or related fields), or Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related areas.

  • Proven experience as a third-party auditor in sustainability certification programs.

  • Formal auditor qualification in at least one of the following schemes:

    • ISCC

    • FSC

    • RenovaBio

  • Full availability for national and occasional international travel.

  • Ability to work independently, ethically, with strong critical thinking and technical rigor.

  • Fluent English; Spanish is desirable.

  • High ethical standards and technical independence.

  • Strong organization, discipline, and time management skills.

  • Clear written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to manage clients and complex audit situations.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to lifelong learning.

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Qualification and experience as a food safety auditor, such as:

    • BRCGS

    • FSSC 22000

    • GLOBALG.A.P.

  • Qualification as an ISO Management Systems auditor, including:

    • ISO 9001 (Quality)

    • ISO 14001 (Environment)

    • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)

  • Experience auditing in the following sectors:

    • Agribusiness

    • Biofuels

    • Forestry

    • Food and ingredients

  • Knowledge of GHG inventories, corporate sustainability, ESG, or sustainability reporting.
