RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Senior Surveyor to join its office in Bergen (Norway) within the Marine North Europe Region Division.

Embark on a mission to survey and assess ships and assess vendors, ensuring compliance with Class, statutory, and other relevant requirements especially for the fleet in service.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct classification surveys of ships in service
Survey various maritime equipment, machinery, and cargo-handling equipment
Handle surveys and certification on behalf of public and governmental authorities
Engage in effective reporting, communication, and collaboration with clients and colleagues
Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of RINA
Generate accurate and concise reports
Address clients' queries on a daily basis
Demonstrate a high level of effectiveness and commitment
Training, qualifications and professional experience
Formal qualification in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including class surveyor, owner superintendent, shipyard quality control inspector, or Chief Engineer (on board of merchant ships)
Previous experience as a surveyor of Classification Societies is advantageous
Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment, and safety systems of ships
Physically able to work in confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, extreme temperatures, and weather conditions
Willingness to travel frequently
Fluent in Norwegian and English languages, both spoken and written
