RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Site Software Application Engineer to join out team in VENEGONO within the Operating Engine Division.
Mission
The Junior Site Engineer mission is to provide essential support to licensed engineers in various engineering projects under direct customer control. They assist in the preparation of design calculations, drafting, technical specifications, reports, and other necessary tasks. Additionally, they utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software, perform fieldwork, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Validation and Testing: Validation and testing plans to ensure products, systems or processes are compliant with requirements and function effectively in the real-world context.
- Assist with Engineering Projects: Support licensed engineers in the preparation of design calculations, drafting, and designing Engineering projects.
- Technical Documentation: Provide assistance in writing Technical specifications, reports, and conducting inspections and studies under the supervision of licensed engineers.
- Quantity Takeoffs and Cost Estimates: Aid in the preparation of material Quantity Takeoffs, Cost Estimates, and bidding documents for Engineering projects.
- Computer-Assisted Engineering: Utilize Computer-Assisted Engineering and design software and equipment to perform various Engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Field Work and Maintenance: perform fieldwork tasks such as obtaining Field information, checking installations, troubleshooting, and participating in equipment and system Maintenance and repair.
- Safety and Security: Observe Safety and Security procedures at all times, report potentially unsafe conditions, and ensure the proper use of equipment and materials.
Education
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of entry-level experience required
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and tools specific to their discipline.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Proficiency in advanced mathematics, including calculus, algebra, and statistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework, Angular, DevStream, MySQL).
- Knowledge of software development languages and technologies (e.g C#, Javascript, Java, SQL)
- Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g Virtual Machine and Docker)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs), including their integration into software applications and business processes.
