RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Emerging Product Certification & Second - Party Audit Project Manager to join its office in Genova or Rozzano within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.​

Mission

The Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for executing and leading projects, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The Project Manager stands at the center of a complex set of relationships among the client, Patrick, staff, contractors, and subcontractors who deliver the elements of the project. The skill of balancing the demands and expectations of these groups lies at the heart of a successful project. The Project Manager is accountable for obtaining and managing adequate resources to meet all project objectives in the most efficient and effective manner.

Key Accountabilities

1. Project Management:
- Develop project plans outlining the scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
2. Client Interaction:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the consulting engineering firm and the client.
- Understand client requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to clients.
3. Team Management:
- Assemble and lead a project team.
- Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise.
- Motivate and manage team members to achieve project goals.
4. Budget Management:
- Develop project budgets and ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Monitor project expenses and financial performance.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
6. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that the project meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Implement and enforce quality control processes.
7. Contract Management:
- Understand and manage contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure that the project complies with contractual obligations.
8. Communication:
- Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, issues, and solutions.
9. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Economics

Qualifications

'- 3 years of experience in engineering
Project Management Skills:
- Extensive experience in project management, including the development of complex, comprehensive project plans.
- Proven ability to oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Strong skills in monitoring and controlling project risks, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong engineering knowledge to guide project teams in solving complex technical problems.
Team Leadership:
- Demonstrated leadership (+3 years) in leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and other professionals.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative and positive team culture, motivating team members to achieve project goals.
- Efficient allocation of resources to meet project demands.
Software Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with engineering software is a plus.

Auditor Skills

  • Solid experience in conducting second-party audits and supporting certification processes.
  • Qualified ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) Auditor.
  • Qualified ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) Auditor.
  • Qualified ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) Auditor.
  • Knowledge and application of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) auditing principles.
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies, international standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and report audits, ensuring structured and objective assessments.
  • Skilled in identifying non-conformities, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Experience in risk-based auditing, with focus on critical compliance and operational areas.
  • Excellent attention to detail in documentation review and evidence evaluation.
  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders, conduct interviews, and present audit findings clearly.
  • Ability to monitor and verify effectiveness of corrective action plans.
  • High level of integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality in audit activities.
