RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Certification Large Account Project Manager to join its office in Milano or Roma or Genova, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
Mission
The Project Manager exercises strategic governance over the entire lifecycle of certification projects for RINA’s Key and Large Clients. Far from merely monitoring, the PM proactively drives the development and delivery of services, ensuring rigorous control over timelines, scope, and budget optimization, with a constant focus on operational excellence.
As a true decision-making and relational hub, the Project Manager authoritatively orchestrates interactions between the Client, Key Account Managers, and both internal and external auditing teams. The ability to harmonize strategic priorities with technical expectations is not simply a management task, but the driving force behind transforming complexity into value, ensuring project success through dynamic leadership and a holistic vision.
Key Accountabilities

Planning & Governance: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, manage resource allocation, and ensure rigorous monitoring of project schedules and milestones.

Client Management & KAM Synergy: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, interpreting their needs and providing consistent progress updates. Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs) for the development and delivery of certification projects, ensuring that technical solutions are perfectly aligned with commercial strategies and the expectations of Large Clients.

Team Leadership: Assemble and lead the project team (including auditors and technical specialists), assigning tasks based on individual expertise and motivating the group to achieve project goals.

Financial & Contract Management: Define and monitor project budgets to ensure financial profitability. Manage contract terms and conditions, overseeing compliance with obligations toward all stakeholders.

Risk & Quality Management: Proactively identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Enforce quality control processes to ensure service excellence and full compliance with certification standards.

Communication & Documentation: Facilitate the information flow between the team, KAMs, and stakeholders through periodic meetings; maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, which is essential for certification auditing processes.
Qualifications
- Project Management & Performance: Experience managing teams on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously. Proven track record of leading projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budget, and scope, including cross-disciplinary resource management.
- Methodologies: Thorough knowledge of Project Management methodologies
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams. Demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on individual skill sets, motivate the team, and ensure effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Management Systems & Auditing: Solid expertise in Management Systems, including qualifications as an Auditor/Lead Auditor for key standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). Alternatively, candidates should have professional experience in developing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) or conducting first, second, or third-party assessments/audits in QHSE/HSE field.
- Software Proficiency (Plus): skills in project management software and dedicated application tools are considered a strong advantage.
- A bachelor's degree of at least three years is required, preferably in engineering.
