RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Certification Large Account Junior Project Manager to join its office in Rozzano or Rome, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.

Mission

As a Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution and management of certification projects within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification division. Your contributions will help ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while coordinating resources efficiently throughout the lifecycle of the projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your project management skills in an engineering and construction context, working closely with experienced professionals and diverse teams. #LI-MC1

Key Accountabilities

1. Project Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with senior project managers to create comprehensive project plans detailing scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Monitor project progress against milestones to guarantee timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.

2. Engineering Integration:
Work alongside engineers and specialists to incorporate accurate engineering calculations and technical data into project documentation and workflows, ensuring compliance with project standards.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Engage with multiple stakeholders across departments to facilitate effective communication, foster teamwork, and resolve project challenges promptly.

4. Coordination and Follow-Up:
Maintain oversight of ongoing project activities, ensuring all tasks are tracked and completed according to planned schedules. Serve as the liaison point between internal teams and external partners, supporting seamless interactions.

5. Financial Oversight:
Assist in budget preparation and continuously monitor expenditures to control costs. Identify budget variances early and recommend corrective measures as necessary.

6. Risk and Quality Management:
Identify potential project risks and contribute to the formulation of mitigation strategies. Support quality assurance efforts by implementing control processes and participating in audits and reviews.

7. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including minutes, reports, and schedules. Generate detailed progress reports for internal use and client updates, ensuring transparency on project status and any arising issues.

8. Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate project outcomes to identify opportunities for process optimization. Share lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project execution and team performance.

Through these responsibilities, you will support the delivery of complex certification projects, contributing to the broader success and reputation of RINA Services within the industry.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Management Engineering

Qualifications

  • 2/3 years of professional experience
  • Basic proficiency in engineering concepts and calculations is essential, along with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical experts to integrate these into project frameworks.
  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management tools and software are necessary to manage schedules, budgets, and documentation efficiently. Knowledge of engineering software will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultures and disciplines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, risk management, and continuous learning to support dynamic project needs.
  • Strong linguistic proficiency in Italian and English
