RINA is currently recruiting for a Verification & Validation Senior Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Space & Defence Division.

Mission

 

This role focuses on safety critical avionics software verification and validation activities, providing support to Software Developers in designing solutions.

Key Accountabilities

 

The Candidate will be part of a team of V&V engineers based in Rome, and will have the following responsibilities:

- Review SW High Level Requirements

- Review SW Architectural Design and Low Level Requirements

- Design SW Test Cases & Procedures starting from Requirements

- Execute SW Tests Cases

- Manage Testing Documentation (e.g. SW Verification Plan, SW Verification Cases & Procedures, SW Verification Results)

- Conduct Review Analysis

- Conduct Source Code Analysis, Timing Analysis, Control and Data Coupling Analysis and Structural Coverage Analysis.

 

The following technical skills are required:

 

- Knowledge of software verification and validation techniques (High and Low level testing).

- Ability to write SW testing and verification documentation.

- Knowledge of C programming language

- Knowledge of software safety aspects and the DO-178C standard (at least DAL C)

- Knowledge of avionic interphases (Bus1553, discrets, NVM, SPI)

- Knowledge of Structural Coverage dedicated tools (e.g. LDRA, Vector CAST/Cover)

 

The following skills are considered preferable:

 

- Knowledge of software security aspects and the DO-326 set standards 

- Software development skills in C/C++

- Team Working attitude

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering o Engineering General
