RINA is currently recruiting for a Structural FEM Analysis Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Division.
Mission
We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer based in Rome (with up to 3 years of experience), with extensive experience in mechanical design and structural analysis, particularly in military projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Finite Element Method (FEM) and 3D CAD tools.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct Structural Analyses: Perform structural analyses using ANSYS on aluminum and composite materials, focusing on vibrational, transient, and random analyses.
- Perform Thermal Analyses: Conduct thermal analyses on various components to ensure they meet specifications.
- Develop and Validate Models: Create and validate models through experimental data analysis.
- Interpret Experimental Data: Use experimental data to calibrate FEM models.
- Specify and Define Requirements: Specify and define project requirements, and resolve issues during the analysis process.

Skills
- Mechanical Design and Structural Analysis: Experience in mechanical design and structural analysis, including vibrational and transient analyses.
- ANSYS Proficiency: Advanced skills in ANSYS Workbench (WB) and ACP for composite modeling.
- Material Expertise: Proficiency with materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber composites.
- Military Standards: Familiarity with MIL-STD.
- Thermal Analysis: Knowledge of thermal analysis applications.
- Experimental Data Interpretation: Ability to interpret experimental data for FEM model calibration.
- Requirement Specification: Experience in specifying and defining requirements, and resolving issues during analysis.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Communication: Fluent in spoken and written English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities.
