RINA is currently recruiting for a Software Application Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

RINA is currently looking for a Software Engineer in order to enlarge its office in Rome! You will be part of our team and perform activities within the software engineering. In particular, we are looking for people in order to support our client in the framework of the GCAP project to develop Weapon Effects Management functionalities.

Key Accountabilities

Main activities will be:

  • Analysis of the HL requirements
  • Design of the solution
  • Software development
  • Debugging and testing

Following the skills we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of C/C++
  • Knowledge of DOORS and Rhapsody
  • Experience in requirement analysis and definition
  • Experience in test case and test procedure definition
  • Experience in software configuration control

Qualifications

 - Good experience as a Software Engineer or Software Application Engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality software applications.
 - Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
 - Experience with desktop application development frameworks (e.g., MS Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse) and/or web application development frameworks(Spring, Django, React, Angular).
 - Familiarity with Graphic User Interfaces design and related development frameworls (e.g. Qt, NI LabWindows/ LabView).
 - Knowledge of requirements management and design tools (e.g. UML-based tools).
 - Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases).
 - Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
 - Understanding of software engineering life cycle and development best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
