RINA is currently recruiting for a Smart Infrastructure Inspection Project Manager to join its office in Rome within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Mission

The Smart Infrastructure Inspection Project Manager is responsible for planning and organizing inspection activities of work groups responsible for carrying out visual inspections of civil and industrial assets. The resource will have to evaluate, also with on-site activities, the integration of innovative inspection technologies and methodologies in inspection processes and defect assessment practices. The resource will have to supervise the work groups' activity, also through on-site inspections, and ensure the integration and compliance with technical regulations in inspection practices.

Key Accountabilities

  • Smart Inspection Technology Deployment: Evaluate and select smart inspection technologies, including sensors, drones, robotics, and other advanced tools, suitable for infrastructure inspections 
  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze inspection data, Project financial data   for actionable insights and trends 
  • Design and implement deployment strategies for managing on site activities 
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Establish protocols for collecting inspection data using smart technologies 
  • Machine Learning for Defect Detection: Implement machine learning algorithms for automated defect detection during inspections 
  • Train models to recognize patterns and anomalies in infrastructure components 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop a comprehensive system for documenting inspection results 
  • Generate detailed reports, including visualizations and recommendations, for stakeholders 
  • Maintenance Planning: Use inspection data to develop predictive maintenance plans for infrastructure components 
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule necessary repairs or replacements. 
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that smart inspections adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements 
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations related to infrastructure inspections 
  • Safety Protocols: Implement safety protocols for the deployment and operation of smart inspection technologies 
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies 
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training to inspection teams on the use of smart inspection technologies 
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure effective utilization of new tools and methodologies 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering General
