RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Smart Inspection Engineer to join its office in Roma or Genova, Italy within the Operations and Maintenance Engineering Division.

Mission

The Senior Infrastructure Smart Inspection Engineer is responsible for signing and validating inspection reports, reviewing the technical documentation for inspection. This role involves utilizing advanced inspection tools, and data analytics to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of inspections across various infrastructure components.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct verification of inspection reports for civil and industrial assets, including bridges, tunnels, road safety barriers, pipe racks, industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with national standards.
  • Review technical documentation and project requirements for inspections. #LI-MP3
  • Assist the discipline lead by providing technical support in preparing specifications, evaluations, and client interactions on technical matters.
  • Having expertise in engineering design principles, review criteria, and maintenance workflows for civil and industrial assets.
  • Having expertise on calculation methods for structural design review and maintenance methods for infrastructure assets.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures to assess their properties.

Qualifications

  • Master in engineering, preferred civil or environmental or mechanical or industrial;
  • 10+ years of experience in the field, proven by enrollment on "Albo degli Ingegneri - Sezione A"
  • Knowledge of inspections framework for civil assets.
  • Capability to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by external engineering suppliers
  • Knowledge of finite elements (FEM) calculation tools
  • Availability for missions
  • Preferred criteria: Certificate of Bridge inspector (or VT Level 3) according to a qualified certification agency.
  • Knowledge of software and tools for structural design
  • Office package (Word, Excel)
  • English: good; written and spoken.
