RINA is currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Junior Engineer to join its offices in Rome or Naples, working on projects in the Space and Defence sectors.
Mission
The selected candidate will support Product Assurance activities within complex engineering programs in the Space and Defence sectors, ensuring the proper implementation of quality processes, configuration management practices, and compliance with applicable standards.
The role will contribute to monitoring the quality of project deliverables, verifying technical documentation, supporting system validation activities, and assisting the project team in achieving milestones, ensuring alignment with company quality management systems and international aerospace and defence standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the correct application of the Project Quality Plan and support the project team in achieving quality objectives and process compliance.
- Verify the correct implementation of company quality processes and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, EN9100) within project activities.
- Support configuration management activities, including defining and managing product structures and related contexts within PLM systems.
- Review and support the approval of technical documentation and specifications, contributing to the release of the Technical Data Package (e.g., drawings, bills of materials, electrical schematics, technical requirements, analyses, reports, and test procedures).
- Participate in design reviews, safety and security panels, and support the preparation and monitoring of project gate reviews and related action plans.
- Support product acceptance and verification activities, including document checks and validation of test tools and procedures.
Education
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance or Product Assurance in engineering or industrial environments
- Willingness to work, on behalf of RINA, at client sites
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and international standards such as ISO 9001, EN9100, and/or AQAP
- Experience with configuration management processes and PLM tools
- Ability to review and assess technical documentation, specifications, and engineering deliverables
- Basic understanding of system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Good command of the English language
- Availability to travel
