Production & System Test Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Production & System Test Engineer to join its office in Torino within the Aerospace & Defence Division.
Mission
The role focuses on contributing to the design, optimization, and documentation of electrical power systems, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. It supports senior engineers in the evaluation and selection of components, and assists in the modeling, simulation, testing, and validation of power systems. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs, and engaging in continuous learning and development to expand knowledge of power system technologies and practices.
Key Accountabilities
Activities related to HW development and verification include: A - Understanding and allocating requirements. The task is to understand the high level requirements (HLR), decompose them and allocate them on the architecture of the module and in identifying the main components. B - Design Activity :

selection of the electronic components necessary to create the hardware module and creation of symbols if not present in the central LED library

drafting the electrical diagram and verifying the integrity of the database

allocation of requirements on the functional blocks of the electrical diagram to allow traceability to module specification

definition of routing constraints (maximum positioning, impedances, currents maximums, insulations) necessary to allow the PCB design.
The output of the activity is the complete electrical database of PCB constraints and the bill of materials filled in with LED company codes. C - Verification Activities. The activity consists of drafting the Validation Test Plan and verifying the prototype created.
Education
Qualifications
The staff appointed by the Supplier will be included in the Client's work group responsible for development of the Product, therefore it will use the customer's development environments .
The skills required are the following:

Excellent VHDL knowledge;

Excellent knowledge of the Mentor Expedition suite;

Excellent knowledge of Xilinx VIVADO tools, Siemens EDA HDL Designer and Siemens EDA QuestaSim;

Excellent ability to design complex logic circuits;

Basic knowledge of avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429, CanAero, MIL-STD 1553);

Basic knowledge of Hardware Engineering processes and standards (DO254);
