RINA is currently recruiting for a Product Assurance and Safety Engineer to join our team in Ortucchio - Fucino (AQ) within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.​

Mission

We are looking for a Product Assurance and Safety Engineer to support complex operational systems in the satellite and space domain. The role involves ensuring compliance with product assurance, quality, and safety requirements throughout system operations, with a strong focus on anomaly management, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement within a high-reliability, regulated environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the implementation of Product Assurance and Safety requirements in line with applicable standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Manage and support anomaly review processes, including preparation, coordination, and follow-up of review boards.
  • Lead and coordinate operational review meetings, ensuring effective tracking of actions and decisions.
  • Contribute to configuration management, change control, and project coordination activities across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Support regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and collaborate with stakeholders on safety topics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education

Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, or Safety within complex or regulated systems.
  • Good knowledge of safety processes and relevant quality standards (e.g., ECSS or equivalent frameworks).
  • Experience with ICT tools for monitoring, reporting, and anomaly management in operational environments.
  • Experience in project coordination, system engineering, or operational processes is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English, combined with problem-solving attitude and team-oriented mindset.
