RINA is currently recruiting for a Product & Quality Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Aerospace & Defence Division.

Mission

The Quality Engineer focuses on ensuring that the production processes and products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting production documents, conducting visual and physical inspections, verifying technical testing steps, managing non-conformities, and supporting root cause analysis. Additionally, you will perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and process validations in accordance with EN 9100 standards, ensure compliance with the company Quality Manual, and identify client needs to support business development initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Production Document Verification:
 - Check production documents, including work cycles, inventory lists, and data records, for accuracy and completeness.
Inspection Activities:
 - Conduct General Visual Inspections (GVI) and, when necessary, perform phisical checks to ensure product conformity.
Equipment Calibration:
 - Verify the availability and correct calibration status of production equipment to maintain high-quality standards.
Technical Testing Verification:
 - Check each step of technical testing processes to ensure they are carried out correctly and meet specified requirements.
Non-Conformity Management:
 - Identify and issue non-conformities, manage findings, and support the identification of root causes for continuous improvement.
First Article Inspection (FAI):
 - Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with EN 9100 standards to validate the initial samples of a production run.
Process Validation:
 - Validate manufacturing processes to ensure they produce consistent and high-quality products, in compliance with EN 9100 standards.
Procedure Verification:
 - Verify departmental procedures against the company Quality Manual to ensure alignment with organizational quality policies and standards.
Quality Management System Understanding:
 - Maintain a clear understanding of the Quality Management System and its impact on production and product quality.
Client Needs Identification:
 - Identify client needs and help them emerge to support business development, ensuring that our products meet or exceed client expectations.
Project Management:
 - Manage project milestones from the initial concept stage to completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects.

Education

Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

- Min 5 Max 7 years of professional experience in quality engineering or a related field. 

 - Proven experience in managing non-conformities and root cause analysis.

 - Hands-on experience with process validation and procedure verification.

 - Solid understanding of quality assurance and control principles.

 - Proficiency with inspection tools and techniques.

 - Experience with equipment calibration and technical testing processes.

 - Knowledge of EN 9100 standards and First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.

 - Familiarity with SAP QM module or similar quality management software. (optional)

- Knowledge of English at level B2.
