RINA is currently recruiting for a Power Electronics Engineer to join its office in Roma, Torino or L'Aquila within the Electronics and Systems Engineering Division.

Mission

To provide engineering contributions for the designs and development of power and control electronic equipment, hardware, products. Works with circuits and other electronic equipment, components or systems.

Key Accountabilities

Analyses project specifications and collaborate with other discipline specialists to provides a solution to meet the requirements.

Works on electronic designs, and theoretical analysis to study worst case scenarios, taking into account potential stresses on components and introducing mitigation strategies.

Generates schematics and/or PCB layouts using engineering tools and software.

Generate the appropriate files and documentation to produce documentation and assist in the verification, validation and certification of prototypes.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the preparation of project documentation. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to project milestone reports and assist with the required project reviews.

Education

Master’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Electronics

Qualifications

Preference for good knowledge of master CAD tools (e.g. Spice, Saber, Altium) and/or schematic tools (e.g. Cadence, Mentor).

Experience of working in an embedded environment such as aerospace or military is an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the technology fields of electronic and electrical engineering, as well as good practice in essential skills such as risk management and requirements analysis.

The power engineer successfully utilizes a wide range of skills to deeply understand power flows, design and implement functional devices, and monitor and feedback the results to solve any issue that may arise.

Knowledge on office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.

A cross-field experience and previous experience in similar roles will be positively evaluated.
