RINA is currently recruiting for a Material mechanics engineer for green technologies to join its office in ROME within the Materials & Technologies Division.
Mission
RINA is engaged in advanced energy transition projects (e.g IPCEI Hydra project for green steel production) that require cutting-edge technologies and materials, as well as experts capable of managing them.
Interest in metallurgy and corrosion is also welcome for this position.

Job Responsability
Study of structural issues involving material performance in severe service conditions: understanding of microstructural features of material and stress analysis verification following the modern design rules for critical structures.
The new employed will be in charge of the following activities:
- Analysis of technical documentation about assets of interest, standards for mechanical design, material specification and material testing for verification of suitability to hydrogen service.
- Definition of technical approach to reach the project targets.
- Execution of structural, fracture mechanics, fatigue calculations.
- Coordinate microstructural and fractographic investigations.
- Intersection and coordination with other project-team members.
- Commissioning of laboratory testing by a thigh cooperation with laboratory engineers.
- Technical reports writing.
- Technical discussion with client and presentation of results.
- Occasional use of CAD and FEM tools.
