RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Verification & Validation Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

The Junior Verification & Validation Engineer focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and verification activities. You will work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and execute test cases to validate software functionality and performance. The ideal candidate has a background in software verification and testing methodologies.

Key Accountabilities

Test Planning and Strategy:
 - Definition of requirements and test cases.

 - Definition and development of laboratory HW test benches to support functional/performance validation activities
Testing Execution:
 - Installation, integration and verification of proper functioning of the system
 - Verification of the correct HW functionality of the equipment, carrying out tests with typical laboratory measuring instruments
 - Carrying out functional laboratory tests and integration test
 - Execution of functional tests at subsystem and system level
Documentation:

 - Production of project implementation and test/inspection documentation.
 - Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test descriptions, test reports, and test summaries.
Continuous Improvement:
 - Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication:

 - Interface the other engineering functions (mechanical design, SW programming, etc.) for the drafting of the project documentation under one's responsibility.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering

Qualifications

 - Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes
 - Knowledge of programming languages for verification and validation purpose.
 - Proficiency in writing test cases and test scripts.
 - Familiarity with HW interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, serial, I/O signals).
 - Knowledge of networking configuration
 - Knowledge of software development and testing life-cycle
 - Familiarity with MatLab, Wireshark, Viper, Office
 - Use of the main laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, protocol analyzer, power supplies, ....).
