RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Site Quality Engineer to join its team in Roma within the Operating Engine Division.​

Mission

The Software Quality Engineer focuses on ensuring that the production processes and products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting production documents, verifying testing steps, managing non-conformities. Additionally, you will perform process validations in accordance with standards and the company quality.

Key Accountabilities

As a Software Quality Engineer at RINA Consulting S.p.A., you will have a diverse set of key accountabilities that contribute to the success of our projects and satisfy our customers' expectations:

  • Act as the quality interface towards programs, project teams, and customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Participate in formal software reviews, including documenting meeting minutes, recording review outcomes, and tracking related actions.
  • Verify software definition documentation, manage variants in different software versions, and handle non-conformities effectively.
  • Take part in the Dry-Run phase and formal tests on released software products, ensuring correct execution of tests and managing non-conformities.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and trends to monitor project progress and quality standards.
  • Create and update software quality plans, as well as support the development of software management plans.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

To excel in the role of Software Quality Engineer at RINA Consulting S.p.A., you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities to uphold the highest standards.
  • Experience in Software Product Life Cycle to understand the entire process from development to maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management and Non-Conformance Management processes to ensure compliance.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-498 and MIL-STD-2167A standards essential for working in the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an international environment, showcasing cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Good command of written and spoken English to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Office package tools, especially Excel, to analyze data and create reports.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel in Italy and abroad as required for project needs.
