RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Product and Quality and Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.
Mission
The Quality Engineer focuses on ensuring that the production processes and products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting production documents, conducting visual and physical inspections, verifying technical testing steps, managing non-conformities, and supporting root cause analysis. Additionally, you will perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and process validations in accordance with EN 9100 standards, ensure compliance with the company Quality Manual, and identify client needs to support business development initiatives.
Key Accountabilities

Document control: Verify accuracy and completeness of work cycles, inventory lists, and data records.

Inspections and checks: Perform General Visual Inspections and physical checks to ensure product conformity.

Production equipment: Ensure availability and proper calibration of production tools and equipment.

Testing and validation: Monitor technical testing and validate manufacturing processes in line with EN 9100 standards.

Non-conformity management: Detect and document non-conformities, support root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.

First Article Inspections (FAI): Conduct FAI to validate initial production samples.

Quality system alignment: Verify departmental procedures against the Quality Manual and maintain strong knowledge of the QMS.

Customer and project focus: Identify client needs and manage project milestones through to on-time, high-quality delivery.
Education
Qualifications

Professional background: 1-2 years of experience in quality engineering or related fields.

Non-conformities & root cause analysis: Proven ability to manage findings and implement corrective actions.

Process & procedure expertise: Hands-on experience in process validation and procedure verification.

Quality assurance & testing: Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, inspection tools, calibration, and testing processes.

Standards & compliance: Solid understanding of EN 9100 standards and First Article Inspection (FAI).

Systems & communication: Familiarity with SAP QM (or similar) and English proficiency at B2 level.
