RINA is currently recruiting for a Food Mandatory Certification Technical Staff – DOP/IGP to join its office in Rome or Naples (Italy) within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
This is a fixed-term position for maternity leave replacement.

Mission

Contribute to the integrity and reliability of PDO/PGI food certification processes by supporting the technical management and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with national and EU regulations. The role plays a key part in maintaining high quality and traceability standards across certified agri-food products, strengthening trust between producers, regulatory bodies, and consumers. #LI-MR1

Key Accountabilities

The resource will support the PDO/PGI Manager in the management and control of PDO/PGI certification practices, including:

    • Use of digital systems for managing and monitoring companies applying for certification

    • First certification requests handling

    • Assignment preparation for inspectors

    • Review and validation of certification documentation

    • Inspections and audit activities at DOP/IGP certified companies

Education

High School Diploma/GED
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Food Technology

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in the agri-food sector (Agriculture, Food Technologies, etc.)

  • Technical knowledge of key food mandatory certification schemes (PDO/PGI/Organic)

  • Experience in certification process management and document control is appreciated

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Teamwork ability with a flexible, proactive, and problem-solving approach

  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
