RINA is currently recruiting for a Food Mandatory Certification Technical Staff – DOP/IGP to join its office in Rome or Naples (Italy) within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
This is a fixed-term position for maternity leave replacement.
Mission
Contribute to the integrity and reliability of PDO/PGI food certification processes by supporting the technical management and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with national and EU regulations. The role plays a key part in maintaining high quality and traceability standards across certified agri-food products, strengthening trust between producers, regulatory bodies, and consumers. #LI-MR1
Key Accountabilities
The resource will support the PDO/PGI Manager in the management and control of PDO/PGI certification practices, including:

Use of digital systems for managing and monitoring companies applying for certification

First certification requests handling

Assignment preparation for inspectors

Review and validation of certification documentation

Inspections and audit activities at DOP/IGP certified companies

Education
Qualifications
-
Diploma or degree in the agri-food sector (Agriculture, Food Technologies, etc.)

Technical knowledge of key food mandatory certification schemes (PDO/PGI/Organic)

Experience in certification process management and document control is appreciated

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Teamwork ability with a flexible, proactive, and problem-solving approach

Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
