RINA is currently recruiting for a Integrated Logistics Support Consultant (ILS Engineer) to join its office in Rome, Naples, Genova, La Spezia within the Aerospace & Defence Division.

Join our team at RINA Consulting S.p.A. as an ILS Engineer: you will play a key role in Integrated Logistics Support discipline, working in projects for leading stakeholders in the Aerospace & Defense industry. You will be part of a team dedicated to achieve excellence, providing you with the opportunity to showcase and improve your skills in the Aerospace & Defence sector. 

 

The Integrated Logistics Support Consultant leads and coordinates core ILS activities ensuring the development of, as an example and not limited to, supportability analyses, maintenance concepts, provisioning lists, PHST instructions, technical documentation, and training deliverables. The role interfaces with the customer and suppliers, ensuring full alignment with technical baseline and contractual standards being responsible of limited tasks during project execution.

Key Accountabilities

Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
-Lead medium‑complexity analyses (FMECA, LORA, MTA, etc.).
-Optimize maintenance intervals, logistic resources, and system availability.
-Provide support organization, manpower profiles, and maintenance schedules.
RAMT Analysis
-Build reliability and maintainability models with validated engineering data. 
-Execute detailed MTBF/MTTR calculations, trends, and corrective recommendations. 
-Assess system-level availability and propose supportability improvements.
Maintenance Task Analysis
-Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
-Identify special tools, test equipment, personnel skill requirements.
-Design maintenance concepts aligned to the requirements.
Technical Publications
-Create, review, and approve Data Modules (DMRL, procedural tasks, descriptions). 
-Ensure alignment with LSA, maintenance tasks, and configuration baseline.
Spare parts and tools list
-Identify critical parts, define sparing strategies, and compute spares calculations.
-Maintain provisioning data (CAGE, P/N, SMR codes, pricing). 
-Interact with supply chain for vendor documentation and lead-time validation
Configuration, obsolescence and data management
-Ensure all ILS deliverables match the current technical baseline. 
-Implement change requests and maintain traceability.
Training development
-Produce training material for operators, maintainers, and logistic staff. 
-Support to deliver classroom or remote training sessions to internal teams and customers. 
-Assess training effectiveness and propose updates.
Customer and supplier interaction
-Report ILS analyses, provisioning lists, and maintenance concepts to the customer. 
-Give leading support in technical discussions for LSA, RAMT, etc., and documentation topics. 
-Manage action items, clarify requirements, and support audits.
 Knowledge sharing
-Support onboarding of junior colleagues by explaining tools, software and processes. 
-Review junior colleagues deliverables and provide feedback.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

• Preferable experience in ILS discipline.
• Preferable knowledge of S-Series specifications (S1000D, S2000M, S3000L, etc.).
• Preferable knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2B.
• Preferable knowledge of RAMT standards.
• Preferable knowledge of ILS-related tool and software, such as logistics database, technical manuals editing and spare parts calculation.
• Fluent knowledge of English language.
