RINA is currently recruiting for a IT Solution Specialist - Splunk to join out team in FRASCATI (Italy) within the Cyber Security and Management Consulting Division.

Mission

We are looking for a System Administrator with cybersecurity skills to support the IT management and security activities of one of our clients in the Frascati area. The selected resource will be responsible for the administration and security of Linux and Windows systems, the management of group policies (GPO) and the configuration of services and daemons critical to the IT infrastructure

Key Accountabilities

• Management and maintenance of Linux and Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment
• Configuration and management of critical services such as rsyslog, cron, systemd, auditd, and other Linux standards
• Implementation and management of Group Policy Objects (GPO) for Windows environments
• Security monitoring and system log management
• Administration and integration of SIEM solutions, with a preference for Splunk or similar technologies
• Support in protecting and managing the customer's IT infrastructure, with a focus on security
• Troubleshooting and incident response
• Collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with security standards

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Master’s Degree in Cyber Security

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise) and Windows systems
• Knowledge of Group Policy in Active Directory
• Experience in configuring and managing standard Linux services, such as rsyslog, cron, systemd, auditd, etc …
• Good knowledge of system log management and log centralization technologies
• Knowledge of logging mechanisms of Windows and Linux systems
• Knowledge of system hardening techniques
• Experience with automation and scripting tools (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Good networking basics and knowledge of load balancing and firewalling systems
• Knowledge of vulnerability identification mechanisms and their risk classification
Preferred requirements:
• Experience with SIEM solutions, in particular Splunk
• Knowledge of IT security standards and best practices for infrastructure protection
• Experience in enterprise environments with advanced security policies
