RINA is currently recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join its office in Genoa or Rome (Italy) within the Global IT Operations Division.

Mission

As the IT Infrastructure Project Manager at RINA, your mission is to lead and execute projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions within set deadlines, budget constraints, and scope. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating various stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to achieve project success by effectively managing available resources and optimizing project outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the IT Cloud Infrastructure Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the seamless delivery of IT projects. 

The main key actiivities are:
 

  • Support the Application PMs to develop IT project plans, timelines and resources.
  • Oversee projects related to IT infrastructure, cloud migration, digital workplace solutions, and cybersecurity.
  • Ensure projects meet budget, technical, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Track and report project progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for example Project Completion Rate, ITSM Efficiency, User Satisfaction  
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Communicate project updates and challenges to executive leadership and IT teams.
  • Ensure IT projects comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Assess and mitigate projects risks
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to understand the architectural patterns adopted in the solution design and the Cybersecurity team to integrate security best practices into delivery tasks
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance IT efficiency
  • Drive automation of IT workflows, cloud cost optimization, and DevOps best practices
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within IT Operations

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team of people on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously with a solid track record of successfully leading projects, including resource management across disciplines
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, Agile) and tools (e.g. MS Projects).
  • Engineering Knowledge:
    - Proficiency understanding of IT concepts and and methodologies (ITIL Framework, DevOps methodologies)
    - Ability to collaborate both with service managers and technical experts.
    - Ability to understand charts representing technical solutions identifying tasks to put into project plans
  • Team Management:
    - Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams.
    - Demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on team members' skills, motivate the team, and manage them effectively.
  • Software Skills:
    - Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    - Familiarity with engineering software is a plus.
  • Language Skills:
    Fluent in Italian and English language.
