RINA is currently recruiting for a Hardware Design Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.

Mission

The role has strong electronic background and focuses on contributing to preparing detailed project documentation, technical proposal, and participating in technical reviews with customers.

Key Accountabilities

Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive project documentation based on RTCA DO-254 lifecycle, including technical data packages, production packages, test requirements and test procedures;
ensure all documentation meets industry standards and customer requirements;
prepare technical proposals based on client technical specifications, gathering all the necessary information autonomously.

Hardware design:

Design of electronic boards;
validate design performance and reliability, integration and testing activities;
address customer enquiries and use the feedback to improve the documentation and the design.

Education

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering

Qualifications

A positive evaluation is given to a minimal amount of experience in technical documentation and hardware design, especially in aerospace applications;
good knowledge and understanding of RTCA DO-254;
proficiency in designing electronic boards;
(optional) experience in FPGA synthesis (Verilog, VHDL) and FPGA simulation (ModelSim, VCS) is positively evaluated.

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480). The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €32,000 and €42,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
