RINA is currently recruiting for a Generative AI & Machine Learning Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.
Mission
The mission of this role is to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge generative AI solutions on the Azure platform. The successful candidate will leverage Azure's AI tools and services to create innovative applications that drive business growth and efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Solution Design & Development: Design and develop generative AI models and algorithms using Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning.
- AI Model Training: Fine-tune and optimize pre-built generative models or develop custom solutions for NLP, image generation, and other AI applications.
- Cloud Integration: Implement end-to-end AI solutions, integrating them with existing cloud infrastructures and leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
- Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy AI models in production environments, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. Utilize Azure’s monitoring tools to track model performance and optimize for efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, cloud architects, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in AI and cloud technology, continuously improving and adapting the AI solutions to enhance business capabilities.

Qualifications
Proven +2 years experience as
- Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience in using AI/ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Azure AI Services: Strong knowledge of Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning.
- Cloud Architecture: Solid understanding of cloud architecture, especially within the Azure ecosystem (Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Services).
- DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices for AI deployment (CI/CD pipelines, containerization).
- Generative Models: In-depth experience with models like GPT-4, Llama, including fine-tuning and customization.
- NLP Techniques: Experience in natural language processing and text generation patterns.
Nice to Have:
- Advanced Python Development: Knowledge of best practices, frameworks, and code optimization.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem Solving: Analytical skills to tackle complex issues.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or similar certifications.
