RINA is currently recruiting for a FEM Analyst Engineer to join its office in ROME within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

We are looking for a motivated junior nonlinear FEM Specialist to join a strategic program in the aerospace and defense sector. The selected candidate will contribute to simulation and modeling activities, supporting the development and analysis of complex physical systems using advanced numerical tools. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional to grow in a high-tech and confidential environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and perform nonlinear numerical simulations to support system behavior analysis
  • Create and modify 3D models using SpaceClaim within the ANSYS environment
  • Conduct finite element simulations using LS-DYNA or equivalent FEM solvers
  • Generate and refine meshes using ANSA or similar tools
  • Support model-based design and dynamic system simulation using MATLAB and Simulink

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of MATLAB
  • Proficiency with SpaceClaim or equivalent CAD software for 3D modeling
  • Proficiency with LS-DYNA or similar tools for dynamic FEM analysis
  • Familiarity in mesh generation using ANSA
  • Experience with Simulink is a plus
  • Coursework in Impact Dynamics is considered a plus
