RINA is currently recruiting for a Embedded SW Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Space & Defence Division.

Mission

This role focuses on embedded SW analysis, design and development activities of software components for avionics equipment.

Skills

The following technical skills are required:

  • Excellent knowledge of the C/C++ programming language.
  • Experience in embedded software development with real-time/non-real-time operating systems and bare board and knowledge of related issues.
  • Experience in multi-task and multi-threaded application development.
  • Knowledge of the main interface peripherals (SPI, I2C bus, UART, discrete and analog signals) and experience in high and low level driver development.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system as a developer (device drivers, kernel modifications and recompilation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of configuration management and code versioning tools (e.g. SVN, GIT, Redmine etc..)
  • Good written and spoken knowledge of the English language.

 

The following skills are considered preferential:

  • Knowledge of the main avionics buses (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, CANBus)
  • Knowledge of the IBM Rational suite (DOORS, Rhapsody)
  • Experience in using laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscope, voltmeters, multimeter, etc.)

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Analysis and problem solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
