RINA is currently recruiting for a Electronic Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.

Mission

RINA is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to be integrated in our Advanced Sensors & IoT Organizational Unit to address the new challenges posed by the energy transition (e.g IPCEI Hydra project) for green steel production.

Job Responsibilities

Problem solving related to the functionality of electronic laboratory systems;

Development of control and acquisition systems for full scale experimental tests.

Skills

Knowledge of software / firmware programming techniques, use of commercial codes dedicated to the development of control algorithms.

- Industrial components: knowledge of the main components that can be used in the industrial / consumer field for the construction of automation systems (Amplifier, power supply, process sensors, actuators, microprocessor control systems);

- Signal acquisition and processing software development: knowledge of software / firmware development environments: Visual Studio (in particular C ++, C #), Python, Arduino IDE, LabView), techniques and use of libraries (SDK) for the connection of hardware (signal acquisition cards) to software, of libraries for signal processing (eg OpenCV) 

Soft skills:

- Communication;

- Teamwork: the ability to work in harmony in a group, with heterogeneous skills especially in approaching multi-physical and interdisciplinary phenomena linked to each other (e.g. coupling between the machine control algorithms and the real time controlled process), as well as to be able to receive feedback and share their knowledge with others.

Education

Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineer
