RINA is currently recruiting for a Electrical and Electronic Testing Engineer to join its office in Bolzano within the Electronics and Systems Engineering Division.

Mission

The successful candidate will join RINA Consulting S.p.A. as an Electrical and Electronic Testing Engineer, specializing in vehicle and bench testing of all electrical and electronic systems. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating resources for projects, ensuring proper coverage, and reporting to the Product Validation Manager under the functional guidance of the project leader.

Key Accountabilities

As the Electrical and Electronic Testing Engineer, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Managing and technically coordinating validation tests for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Supervising and guiding Electrical and Electronic Testing Specialists in detailed technical aspects of vehicle and bench tests.
  • Collaborating with Product Validation Manager and Project Leader on test planning and execution.
  • Verifying test results and reports provided by the testing specialists.
  • Providing technical support to end customers and conducting field and bench tests when necessary.
  • Requesting external collaborations and initiating purchase requests for test-related supplies.
  • Planning ECU Software Bench Testing activities in coordination with the electronic systems manager.
  • Procuring, maintaining, and calibrating equipment for test purposes.
  • Ensuring team members have necessary equipment and safe working environments.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
Master’s Degree in Electronics or Electronic/TLC Engineering

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (General or Electronics) or a Master’s Degree in Electronics or Electronic/TLC Engineering.
  • Engineering background preferably in electronics, computer science, or mechatronics.
  • Experience in the automotive sector.
  • Knowledge of vehicle structures including ECU, CAN bus, and J1939 communication protocols.
  • Basic understanding of experimental methodologies, test systems, and data acquisition systems.
  • Proficiency in assembly and repair of electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with measurement systems for electrotechnical physical quantities and reading electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to interpret ECU software requirements and basic programming skills in C and Python.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and basic English proficiency.
  • Good team management and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Desirable possession of a "C" driving license.
