RINA is currently recruiting for a Corrosion Laboratory Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.
Mission
RINA Consulting – Centro Sviluppo Materiali is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Laboratory Engineer at the Stress Corrosion & Chemical Laboratory. The Laboratory is dedicated to conducting electrochemical and corrosion tests on laboratory-scale samples or parts of components in their actual sizes. The Laboratory focuses on issues related to the corrosion of steel and special alloys, to assess the compatibility of materials in specific environments, mainly related to Oil & Gas, the Hydrogen sector, or CO2 capture and storage themes.
Job Responsabilities
- Perform compliance tests to European and international standards based on the component under test, defining the test layout and test procedure.
- Perform special tests in accordance with specifications defined by the Client and/or Manufacturer.
- Generate test reports in English.
- Implement new methodologies and procedures following the needs of Clients or as emerging from the literature and scientific references.
- Collaborate with other team members in carrying out work and solving any problems.
- Execute post-test analysis in accordance with regulations or customer requests.
- Process post-test data.
- A valuable requirement is the use of CAD.
- Availability for long-term business trips.
- Physical fitness for laboratory work.
The candidate will report to the Laboratory Manager and will be included in the Laboratory team, with internal training and on-the-job training.
