RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Plan Approval Intern to join its office in Rio de Janeiro within the Marine Americas Region Division.

Mission

RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Engineer Intern to join its office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil within the Plan Approval division.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support to the Plan Approval Team across various disciplines related to ship design and construction.
  • Assist in the development of engineering studies and analyses for vessels.
  • Perform engineering activities and calculations using dedicated technical software.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, including calculations and reports.
  • Review and analyze engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements, Class Rules, International Conventions, and applicable standards.
  • Support administrative tasks related to project management and documentation.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Class Rules, International Conventions, and Standards
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using a PC, including familiarity with common technical software.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling, stability calculation tools, and FEM software is an advantage.
  • Good command of technical English (spoken and written).
  • Availability to intern 6 hours per day(Monday to Friday).
