RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Brazil Surveyor to join its office in Rio de Janeiro within the Latin America Marine Division.
Mission
Carry out surveys on ships and other marine structures during construction and in service, for compliance with the applicable Class, statutory and other possible requirements. #LI-KM
Key Accountabilities
- Act as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related Rules, Regulations, requirements, concepts, principles and processes.
- Prepare technically accurate and timely certificates and reports of inspections and surveys performed.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate various phases of surveying work and monitoring the quality of service on work performed.
- Engage in contact with clients to solve problems within area of expertise.
- Customer/Client Service Orientation: Responsible for complex client requirements in order to understand their needs
- Business Development: handle commercial activity with clients.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Speaking/Writing Advanced/Fluent or Native Portuguese and English.
- Hold a valid bachelor’s degree or higher in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering with previous experience on Naval area, understanding the Classification Society's work.
- ISM/ISPS auditor and MLC inspector qualification are a plus.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to non-standard working hours, according to business or project needs.
- Willingness and ability to comply with safety requirements when working in environments involving heat, confined spaces, or heights.
- Good communication skills.
