RINA is currently recruiting for a Latin America Marine Senior Business Development Manager to join its office in Brazil or Panama within the Latin America Marine Division.
Mission
The mission of a Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) is to take a leadership role in driving growth and expanding business opportunities for the organization within the LATAM region with focus on Panama, Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia and Venezuela. The Senior Business Development Manager leads the increase of the sales pipeline offering and wining contract for an assigned services portfolio and/or within an assigned geographical coverage. #LI-KM
Key Accountabilities
1. Sales Forecasting and Planning:
- Participate in the development of effective sales forecasting and planning.
- Contribute to the execution of short and long-range sales and marketing plans.
2. Opportunity Pipeline Management:
- Build and maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline consistently.
- Ensure the pipeline aligns with the organization's business objectives.
3. Customer Engagement and Needs Analysis:
- Engage with current and potential customers to understand their needs and requirements.
- Use customer insights to inform sales and business development strategies.
4. Order Intake Pipeline Management:
- Drive and monitor the order intake pipeline to ensure a steady flow of business.
- Update the pipeline with new prospects and opportunities.
5. Contracts, Tenders, and Quotations:
- Take a leading role in driving and supporting major contracts, tenders, and quotations.
- Drive and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
6. Alliances and Partnerships:
- Explore and develop opportunities for alliances and partnerships.
- Contribute to the exploration of new markets and business opportunities through strategic partnerships.
7. Competitor Analysis and Intelligence:
- Track competitor activity and provide updates on competitor news and intelligence.
- Use competitor information to refine and enhance the organization's competitive strategies.
8. Pipeline Qualification:
- Identify and qualify a robust pipeline of focused opportunities aligned with the RINA Group's business objectives.
- Prioritize opportunities based on strategic importance and potential for success.
9. Cross-Selling and Mutual Opportunities:
- Work across the RINA Group to develop cross-selling and mutual opportunities.
- Collaborate with different departments to maximize synergies within the organization.
10. Technology Solutions and Offerings:
- Stay current with RINA’s current and future offerings and technology solutions.
- Understand and communicate technological solutions, including customer-tailored tools.
Education
Qualifications
- Substantial experience (8+ years) in business development, sales, or related roles is crucial.
- Deep understanding of the industry and market trends related to RINA services.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills to identify business opportunities and trends.
- Proficient in negotiating and closing deals with clients or partners.
- Strong networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and business development goals.
- Experience or understanding of global and local markets where RINA operates.
