RINA is currently recruiting for a LATAM Human Resources Payroll Advisor to join its office in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo or Santiago within the Global Human Resources Division.

Mission

The payroll advisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll, benefits, and HR operational processes across Latin America (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, and Peru), delivering high-quality support to employees and stakeholders while aligning with local legislation and global corporate standards. #LI-KM

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute end-to-end payroll operations across Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, and Peru, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal deadlines. Activities include management of payroll vendors, payroll calculations (biweekly/monthly, if needed), onboarding, terminations, vacation accruals, sick leave, statutory bonuses, and internal employee movements.
  • Ability to assess the efficiency of payroll vendors and lead the implementation of new providers when necessary.
  • Lead the supplier invoicing workflow for LATAM: validation of received invoices, creation of purchase requests (PRs), and coordination with finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Coordinate international mobility procedures, including visa applications and immigration processes, in partnership with global mobility providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead regional benefits programs, overseeing vendor relationships, enrollment processes, eligibility tracking, and periodic audits to ensure adherence to policies and legal requirements.
  • Support labor compliance activities for Brazil and other Latin American countries, maintaining alignment with corporate policies and evolving local legislation.
  • Act as first-line support for employees and stakeholders regarding payroll discrepancies, benefit inquiries, and vendor-related issues, ensuring SLAs are met and records are updated in HRIS.
  • Compile, analyze, and present payroll and workforce data to support audits, management reporting, and strategic planning efforts across LATAM.
  • Provide technical HR guidance to business units, aligning operational processes with regional strategies and compliance standards.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of HR policies and process documentation, ensuring regional alignment and standardization across LATAM countries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Solid experience in payroll processing and HR operations preferably across multiple Latin American countries.
  • Proven experience managing payroll cycles, benefits administration, and international mobility.
  • Experience generating and analyzing reports to support audits and HR decision-making.
  • Familiarity with purchase requisition and invoicing workflows.
  • Previous experience in a multinational and dynamic environment is preferred.
  • ⁠Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Advanced level in English and Spanish; fluency in both languages is preferred.
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to work both autonomously and part of a team.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ethics when handling sensitive employee data.
