RINA is currently recruiting for a Brazil Process Engineer to join its office in XXXX within the Plant Engineering Division.​

Mission

To work in the development, preparation, review, and coordination of process engineering technical documentation for industrial projects, including refineries, terminals, gas processing units, thermoeletric, chemical and petrochemical plants, ensuring compliance with technical standards, process safety requirements, fire protection regulations, and corporate standards. #LI-KM

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare, review, and verify engineering technical documentation;
  • Develop Design Basis documents, Technical Reports, Calculation Reports, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Cause-and-Effect Matrices;
  • Mass and energy balances, as well as process equipment and system sizing;
  • Prepare technical specifications and equipment data sheets;
  • Develop studies and calculations for industrial fire protection and firefighting systems;
  • Prepare reports on firewater demand, water and foam concentrate (LGE) storage, and size pumps, hydraulic networks, hydrants, monitors, sprinklers, proportioners, and tanks;
  • Develop design bases, PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets, and equipment lists for fire protection systems;
  • Participate in process hazard analyses and operational safety assessments;
  • Coordinate interfaces with piping, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering disciplines;
  • Participate in the preparation of technical proposals and project schedules;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and operational safety, quality, and performance requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial projects, preferably in the oil and gas, refining, terminals, gas processing, petrochemical, or chemical sectors;
  • Knowledge of process engineering and hydrocarbon transportation and processing;
  • Experience in the preparation and verification of engineering technical documentation;
  • Knowledge of industrial fire protection and firefighting systems;
  • Experience in hydraulic sizing and specification of fire protection systems;
  • Knowledge of process safety and risk analysis is desirable;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Experience with process calculation and sizing software;
  • Advanced English proficiency.
