RINA is currently recruiting for a Brazil Energy Business Development Manager to join its office in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, within the RINA Consulting Commercial Management Division.

Mission

The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in the development of RINA Business in LATAM, based in Rio de Janeiro and assigned to offer and address RINA portfolio of services for Energy Market focused on Oil and Gas Market in its related geographical coverage.

Job responsabilities

Main tasks:

  • Be responsible for sales and business development initiatives: focused on new sales, business opportunities, client visits and management exploring also opportunities for alliances and partnerships.
  • Engage with current and potential customers to discuss and understand their needs and requirements.
  • Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders and quotations supporting our focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business and developing new markets.
  • Stay current with RINA’s current and future offerings and technology solutions, including but not limited to customer-tailored tools  in order to combine the Market knowledge with RINA to overcome expectations, to explore new markets and to work across the RINA Group developing ‘cross selling’ and mutual opportunities;
  • Drive and monitor the order intake pipeline updating the pipeline with new prospects;
  • Track competitor activity and providing updates on competitor news and intelligence;
  • Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders, and quotations.
  • Lead and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned.

Update and maintain the rolling 12-month plan for LATAM covering:

  • Planned business development activity for established and new clients;
  • Develop business strategy and strategic plan for the Energy sector;
  • Focus on Oil and Gas Sector;
  • Identify and priorities opportunities by client, industry, and geography;
  • Client visits;
  • Establish and maintain a focus on development of new business opportunities in the Energy Sector including customer proximity, relationship and market connections;  
  • Meet with existing clients in the assigned region per agreed business plan;
  • Market & Competitor intelligence;

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree is essential, Post-graduation degree in Business Management is a plus
  • Previous experience (>8 years) working for Oil & Gas Market, EPC Contractors or Consultancy Companies for would be fundamental
  • Demonstrate a track-record of cultivating relationships with clients at every level of the organization
  • Experience of preparing quotations, pre-qualifications and tenders including success with writing, appraising and negotiating detailed contracts and commercial Agreements
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English, is essential (will be tested)
  • Basic knowledge of the International O&G and Energy market is a plus
  • Strong business attitude, getting things done Outstanding and team-player capability
  • Excellent negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and open-minded personality
  • Creativity, curiosity and open-minded approach

  • Office located in Centro - Rio de Janeiro.

  • Hybrid work mode (after 2 months on-site).
